Excellent plugin and response by developer

  • Edit: Only a day after i posted my below review, the developer included the ability to not have pending days block the calendar, so now even the free version has what i thought to be an essential feature of an approval process. I will be upgrading now as well to get some of the other great features offered by this plugin.

    The free plugin comes with an approval process for requested dates, but any requested date is automatically blocked for anyone else requesting those same dates. The paid options don’t let you have the basic functionality of not having bookings block dates until they are approved unless you buy the most expensive paid option.

    So in summary, the most important feature that is absolutely necessary for a booking request plugin like this isn’t available unless you choose the most expensive paid plan.

    Hello.
    1) In the Booking Calendar Free version you can activate this option “Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s)” , so your visitors will be able to make unlimited bookings per same date(s) in calendar and do not see any booked date(s) of other visitors.

    2) If you want to show only pending bookings as available (including in Booking Calendar Free version), so here is available trick, which is explained at the support forum of plugin website. Check how to activate this functionality

    3) In the Booking Calendar Business Large version exist more advanced feature with pending bookings, where possible to automatic cancellation of pending bookings for specific date(s), if you have approved booking on these date(s) at same booking resource.

    Hello.
    We have released new update 8.3.2, where no need to make trick configuration from previous comment about activation of “Set pending days as available”.

    You can activate this option in the settings page at Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

    You are right, this option have to be in Booking Calendar Free version by default, without any additional tricks for such activation.

    Thank you so much! I had already modified the Javascript to make it work, but this is even better! I will definitely be upgrading to the personal version now as editing the bookings was the only other thing i really needed.
