Done everything and still doesn't work

    I have a Website, https://www.extraordinarypartiesandevents.com that I have done tons of seo stuff to. I have installed pluggins to help and made sure i’m getting the Yoast SEO Green Light and did everything on ‘Google Pagespeed Insights’ list and this site still can’t hardly be found. not a lot of compitition and it used to be easy to find on page one when it was a crappy one page site with little info. (Example: ‘Waukesha Casino Nights’ or Waukesha Catering’) Is it possible that when it was copied from the sub-domain on the old server to the actual domain on the new server, something was screwed up? or is there something else I am missing? I am not having this problem with other sites. If anyone has ideas, please help… Thanks

  • Hello,

    You mentioned that the site was copied over from a sub-domain to the actual domain…that’s most likely the issue. Whenever you move a site to a different domain, you lose the old domain’s SEO ranking, since Google considers it as a new site altogether. One way to help against this is to properly redirect all the links from the old domain/subdomain to the new one, using permanent 301 redirects.

    Provided you still have access to the old domain, you can do that using a vast range of methods, which can be found by doing a quick Google search for something like ‘how to do 301 redirects’. If you can have a WordPress install on that old subdomain, you can also use a plugin such as Redirection to do it easily.

    The New design was moved to the actual domain, replacing the old 1 page site.
