Donations and GetPaid

    We are building out a donation form for a customer. They are a Non-profit and can accept donations.

    I saw the “other guys” of course have a specific option in their addon to send payments as “donations”.

    I am not familiar enough with how PayPal API works, so will this be an issue using your addon versus the “other guys”? If the org is a 501c non-profit, and they getpaid via your addon, will they get whopped with fees?

    Hello,

    Paypal offers a special rate for non-profits, true, but that would be applied on the Paypal side of things. I’d recommend that the client check out Paypal to register for that.

    Excellent. I was unsure if PayPal required a special notation or not on the order to mark it as a ‘Donation’.

    I will verify with our customer on their status, but this was helpful.
