Donation form address question

  • We have a donation page that has several types of donation options. I would like both the Memorial Donation and the Donation options to include the donors address information. However, when I have the form allow the address fields, it prefills our address as the example. This address is the address of one of our board members (we’re a charity organization and this is our non-profit website) and we do not want this to show on the form. We’d prefer the form to be empty until the donor fills in their information. How can we fix this?

    I’m unable to reproduce this on any of your donation buttons/forms. I’m thinking, perhaps:

    1) The address may have been saved in your browser, so it’s your browser that’s filling in the address, OR

    2) You’re testing the form while logged in, and the address is associated with the WordPress user account you’ve used to log in.

    If either of these is true, then this should not be a problem at all, since it will not happen for your site’s users.

    If neither of these is true, then kindly direct me to how I can reproduce the problem, as it’s not happening for me.

    Quite sure that the address is being prefilled bc of a browser setting, or a cookie setting on the board members computer. This will not be the case for new visitors, however it may be the case for visitors who have filled in the form previous, and have their browser settings set to store this information.

    This is not a WordPress issue.
