Donation amount – Manual entry request a price

    Hi,

    When I set to manually enter the price, in the past I have left that filed blank, but now it requests to enter a price even if I set 0, the price is not validated. I just need to leave customer to decide the amount to donate, but I am not able to set this anymore. Can you help?

    PS. The page link above entered is showing a button that works correctly. I do not have online not working buttons because I do not want the people to see a “suggested” amount.

    PS. This was already set in some of my buttons, but I cannot create it others with the same set.

    Hi @criconti,

    Yes, this can still be done. It’s a little different then before with PayPal Standard.

    Before, you could enter 0 and it would redirect to PayPal to let the user choose an amount. The new PayPal Express checkout removed this feature, so we added it into the plugin so it will always work no matter if PayPal makes changes again in the future.

    Now, you need to choose Manual Entry and enter 0.00

    And that will allow your visitors to choose a custom amount.
