    I’m currently testing the “Popular Post” plugins because the plugins for my Soledad theme (Pencidesign) don’t let you choose custom post types.

    I’ve tested your plugin, which works perfectly, but reports that it’s no longer updated and should be uninstalled.

    I found the other plugin, “Popular post top 10”, but the images don’t fit and there are lots of useless and inconsistent options.

    So, as there are no other acceptable plugins to present popular posts, why don’t you leave the code to another wordpress programmer?

    Who could continue to develop it, update it, and even make a paid version, since the offer is limited as far as I can see, he could sell it and make some money.

    To allow webmasters who use WordPress to continue to have a pro plugin to present popular articles.

    Thanks

    If you check the Description page of the plugin you’ll quickly notice two things:

    1. Last official update was around 3 months ago, I wouldn’t exactly say that the plugin is “no longer updated and should be uninstalled”; and
    2. WordPress Popular Posts has a Github repository, anyone can contribute to help keep it updated anytime (and even if it didn’t have a Github repository the plugin is still 100% Open Source and under the GPL2 license.)

    Additionally, and since we’re on this topic, it just so happens that a new update is coming up soon.

    TLDR;

    Don’t worry, the plugin hasn’t been abandoned at all. A new update will be out soon, don’t pay any attention to that message as it’s not accurate.

    Ok, thanks, good news.

    I’ll reinstall it.

    IMO this is one of the best supported plugins around and is often updated, so you’re in good hands.
