The donate button only works when logged into the site. Will not work in most browsers either, only in chrome. I’ve implemented every fix that you have written about regarding Ajax and sessions. All possible plugins that would cause conflict have been disabled. I’ve tried adding the plugin that was recommended for WordPress sessions and also adding the line of code into wp-config file. I’ve tested this so many ways, I am completely out of ideas. I would be so grateful for any insight into what’s going on and why the button will not submit when not logged in.

    Thank you in advance!

Hey @juleshenson – were you able to resolve this issue? I checked it out and everything seemed working as expected. You may have seen two submissions from me go through?

Hi @dlocc, thank you so much for yiur reply. I am still having the same issue. Nothing resolved. Did you happen to try it out in chrome? That’s the only browser I can get it to work in 100% of the time. Cant get it tl work in Edge or safari.

Hey @juleshenson – I just tested again in FireFox and worked both times. Are you seeing any specific error or is it just spinning consistently?

    (@juleshenson)

@dlocc the issue is that after clicking the button to submit, the button text changes to “please wait” and doesn’t actually submit. Just keeps spinning with the “please wait” text. I just tried it again in Microsoft edge and same thing. Safari same thing. And I’ve tested on multiple devices, all with the same issue. :/

Typically whenever that happens there’s an issue with AJAX running @juleshenson – but I just tested in Safari on Mac and it went through fine. Maybe try reaching out to your hosting provided to see if they can identify the issue by looking into the server or WP error logs.

I understand, and also think it’s related to ajax @dlocc. I have disabled all plugins, as well as contacted my hosting company to see if they could identify the issue and they had no errors associated with this domain. I continue to have the issue in Safari. From time to time I do get it to load using Edge. But when testing on Safari, I have not been successful. This site is not customized, so there is no code or any other custom files that could be conflicting.

I am in a time crunch to get this working as well, and honestly, there are no other plugins that will work for us. If you have any other ideas, I would be grateful.

    Thank you.

    Hi @juleshenson

I just investigated your issue more closely and I believe it’s resolved now. It’s not clear exactly what the problem was, but upgrading to Give version 2.0 seems to have resolved it for you.

    Please confirm via email. Thanks!

This is not resolved haha. I can ALSO confirm that I have been plagued with this new bug. I installed it on a client website and I also get the infinite ‘please wait’ notification. Sometimes it works in firefox (when signed in), but most times it doesn’t. Tested on chrome, safari, and firefox.

Should I email you guys the credentials? please advise

    @webdevmattcrom

Hey Matt, I submitted a contact form to you (With the login credentials). At your convenience, can you please take a look? I actually bought a premium add-on for another client, so I am a loyal supporter of Give.

To reiterate, I have the same ‘please wait’ infinite load bug and it’s bothering my client.

    thank you!

    Hi @zonwarrior,

I just responded to you over there, but your issue was different than @juleshenson’s .

Essentially, your site is not forcing all traffic over HTTPS. WE have a guide on that here:
    https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/how-to-use-ssl-and-https-for-your-wordpress-website/

Once all traffic is forced over HTTPS you’ll be all set.

In the future, please start a new ticket, because even if your issue sounds related, they can most likely be very different solutions.

    Thanks!

Thank you @webdevmattcrom ! Will do! brilliant!
