Donate button

  • After trying out different stripe plugins all day I think I have found the more or less perfect one with direct stripe. There is one small thing that I need the plugin to do.

    Right not there is jargon in the payment button. I want the payment button to say the amount that the donor has donated in the blue button rather than “This will add one more setting option”. It should give the amount that has been donated so that the person can feel secure at the amount.

    Hello @janeylondon,

    Thank you for using Direct Stripe.

    The text of the modal form’s button is editable via the “panellabel” argument of the shortcode ( panellabel=”My text” ).

    Unfortunately the “display_amount” argument is not compatible with donation button type and the amount can only be displayed with Payment button type.

    So what do I do? I am complete beginner and do not understand much of the jargon. When the donor puts the amount in it should show up on the modal button before they pay…no? This is what I want to happen. Otherwise they could end up making a mistake and out the wrong amount.

    The other issue that I would like solved if possible. Rather than putting name and address I would like to just have the zip/postcode. Can this be done?

    I hope these two things can be solved as I have been on this for three days installing and deleting plugin after plugin

    I cannot use it if the amount is not going to show in the button as its too insecure for the donor. I would not donate to a platform like that

    I have just read what you have said so then I must remove your plugin as I do not think it is fair for the donor. Can you please advise me of a plugin that you know might do this?
