Domains list not listing all of my (active) mapped domains –

    I have over 20 active domain mappings, but it appears the Domains list (Network Admin > Settings > Domains) isn’t listing all of them. It seems to be maxing out at 20, with no pagination or ability to show more.

    When I view my Sites list, it shows the domain mapping for each site. Some sites show their active domain mapping here, but are not included in the Domains list.

    So there are active mappings that I can’t edit or delete from the Network Admin.

    Also- when I try to create a domain mapping that has already been created (but is not listed), it then creates a duplicate! I can see there is a duplicate domain mapping created when viewing the Sites list.

    Seems this is a bug that needs fixing.

    I know that. I wrote that in my original post.

    I’m pointing out that the Domains list in Network Admin seems to be broken in that it doesn’t list past 20 lines, even if there are more than 20 domain mappings.

    This is a problem because before I realized the domains list wasn’t showing ALL of my domains, I tried adding a domain mapping here (one that was added already, but I didn’t realize because it’s not listed), and it added it as a duplicate entry. The only way to resolve this duplicate entry was to go into the database directly in PHPmyadmin and delete the duplicate. Not ideal.

    Yes, you could go into the dashboard of each individual site and edit it’s domain mapping that way, but it’s much easier to handle this from the Network Admin (isn’t that what the Domains list and mapping function is there for?)

    Could the plugin be updated so that the Domains list shows ALL domain mappings?

    The long term plan is to remove that screen. It was added before the domains were shown in the sites listing.

    Given some people who use the plugin have a large number of mapped domains, showing them all is not practical.

    Really?

    I find that screen VERY useful. I guess you can count me as a vote for keeping it in!

    Why not just make it one long list? Or paginated?

    If it were paginated how would that be better than the paginated sites list?

    The Domains screen allows me to create domain mappings for my clients and see which domain mappings have been created — all from one place in the Network Admin.

    That’s a lot easier than using the Sites list and navigating to the individual sites dashboards.

    But the real issue that I originally posted about was the confusing nature of the Domains list as it exists today. Until I realized it, there’s nothing telling users that not all domains are being listed.

    I’d like the network admin list of all domains to stick around. Our multi-site install has 1000+ sites, but only about 5% of those sites use domain mapping.

    The network admin view is an easy way to see which sites are actually using domain mapping and quickly admin them when needed.
