Thanks for responding. I have called technical support for my hosting company repeatedly, they keep saying there’s something wrong with the code in WordPress. I’m on the phone with them now and they’re saying there may be something wrong with the permalinks. ?????

they’re saying there may be something wrong with the permalinks.

To find out, try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure again. If clearing your Permalinks does not alleviate the issue, this could be attributed to anything from a web server configuration to a bad WordPress install.

I don’t have access to the wp-admin Dashboard at this time. Is there a way to change the settings of the permalinks without having to login to the dashboard?

    Yes, via phpmyadmin.

First of all please go to your database phpmyadmin.

then you can find table name “wp_options” click on this.then you can see a row with “option_name=permalink_structure”(you can find it in page number 2). you have to just edit the “option_value” field of “option_name=permalink_structure”.

Read more here about Permalinks :

Backup your DB before tweaking it, in cse.

Hi Tara, thank you for all your help so far. Here is the screenshot of what I see. I do not understand your instructions and am not sure what to edit. You said, “2). you have to just edit the “option_value” field of “option_name=permalink_structure”.
