• I have recently completed a domain name change on my server. Yikes…this started a string of several long nights as I have attempted to fix the problem that I am experiencing with my blog…

    THE PROBLEM
My domain is not pointing to the correct file in my server space. It links only to the primary file. Godaddy stated that it is a wordpress problem and that the error is occurring because of the domain name change. HOWEVER, I created a new database and wordpress blog in a effort to correct the problem. I then imported the old blog and everything looks great, but not point to the correct domain.

    Any suggestions????

  • I’m not sure I understand the problem, but you should be able to set the home directory for a domain in your host’s control panel.

The problem that I am having is getting my domain to point the correct file in my hosting account. GoDaddy stated that everything is correct on their end and suggested that the problem is with how the WordPress database was created. Is there a way to check the actually database (starfield) and see if I have my database set correctly?
