Domain point to my old WordPress

  • Hi there,
    I have moved over to SS and have imported my .xml file in successfully. I am having trouble trying to retrieve my blog images. All of my blog post media content is missing. I think that because my domain was transferred first before my .xml was imported.
    So I have a domain that is hosted with Squarespace and I need to point it to my WordPress site.(old site: https://www.petrakingphotography.com) Can you please tell me how to do this? I have access to edit all DNS settings through Squarespace.
    Hoping to get this resolved in a timely manner so I can move forward today.

  • If your old site is still there on the host you might try using ftp or the hosting control panel’s file manager to download all your media files to your local PC.

    You’ll need to consult with Square Space on how to then make use of those with your content there.

    That would probably be the easiest method.

    If you have a backup of your old file system on your PC those files should be in that already and save you a bunch of work.
