• I have an undeveloped domain name – wordpresscoach.com that I am thinking of selling.

What price would you suggest I sell it for, and where would be a good place to advertise [apart from here?]

    Thanks

  • If WordPress ever became huge it could be worth something but right now I don’t see such a huge demand for it to be worth much. Maybe try ebay and start it around $50?

Someone pointed out awhile back that domains using the copyrighted term “WordPress” would be brought to the attention of Matt Mullenweg’s attorneys. (Of course I found that out after I, too, snapped up such domains as morewordpress.com, onwordpress.net, bestwordpressdesigns.com, etc., etc., etc.) ??

Domain speculation ain’t what it used to be. I’d be willing to bet it’s worth what most registrars charge for a name, about $8-10. Try SitePoint.com. They have domain auctions, but they charge a fee (much like e-Bay) whether your domain sells or not.

…and the attorney will do what…other than try to intimidate you ?? Evidently, some will not be intimidated. https://wordpresstraining.com/

The free market…it’s a wonderful thing.

how about sue you for trademark infringement? Especially if you have a smug attitude.

Go ahead…while you are at it, sue me for a “smug attitude” as well ??

Anyone can sue anyone for anything…winning is another matter ??

Do a little research on the topic…you may learn something…maybe you can start here:

do a little research? I can provide links as well — to sites that have been taken offline and handed over to the trademark owner.

    Here is JUST one:

I dont need to learn anything. Its not MY domain name. I can comment on someone who doesnt seem to appreciate the right to preserve a corporate identity though.

See tutu, most people dont just wander onto this site, and post commentary as you have.. the ppl that post here, USE wordpress, and come to this support form for what its for — support.
Consequently, using WP, they are happy to honor one singular request that Matt makes.

You, on the other hand, registered, just to post to this thread. That, and your remarks, however few, speaks volumes about you.

    [moderated]

Well…I guess that says it all ??

By the way “dont” is don’t ??

Since we’ve devolved to [moderated] name calling and personal attacks, I reckon this thread is done.

    Closing it.
