• I have a domain name with NameCheap startupaws.xyz.

I need to connect this domain name with a WordPress Instance on AWS LightSail using Host53.

The IP address of WordPress instance to be connected is https://65.0.157.227/

Here is the A record setting I have made on Host53: https://ibb.co/YZmZwCQ

The domain name is not connected.

    Help appreciated.

  • It works for me when I check over Google DNS.
In order to not overload the DNS system, the whole DNS network uses caching. Perhaps your computer (or your DNS resolver host) still remembers a previous DNS response that needs to time out?

I have connected the domain name startupaws.xyz with the IP.

But I am facing a hurdle while understanding Host 53. I am not sure if it is only adding IP address on NameCheap (registrar of startupaws.xyz) that made domain name connected or was there any role of me adding A record on Hosted 53 that too played (or my Hosted 53 action was redundant): https://ibb.co/YZmZwCQ.

Seems to work for me also… via Browser! Via IP or domain looks like same Bitnami installation. HTTP Right? HTTPS throws the warning message.

    startupaws.xyz SOA dns1.registrar-servers.com 156.154.132.200

Looks like registrar-servers.com is your registrar so you are not using Amazon’s DNS servers but that’s okay.

Thanks so much for the support. Now, I understand that since domain name managed by NameCheap, updating A record with NameCheap for domain name startupaws.xyz was sufficient.
