• I installed WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin through Network Admin, created the sites as sub-domains, mapped them in Tools > Domains (no primary specified), then checked off everything in Domain Mapping:

    + Remote Login
+ Permanent redirect (better for your blogger’s pagerank)
    + User domain mapping page
+ Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain (remote login disabled if this redirect is disabled)
+ Disable primary domain check. Sites will not redirect to one domain name. May cause duplicate content issues.

When I go to the sub-site admins, there’s still Domain Mapping in Tools, which I don’t want to be there, and it throws errors:

    (above Dashboard link)
Notice: Undefined index: action in /var/www/html/islandhoodsites/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/domain_mapping.php on line 373

    (under Domain Mapping header)
Notice: Undefined index: path in /var/www/html/islandhoodsites/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/domain_mapping.php on line 447

    Active domains on this blog
    Primary
Notice: Undefined index: path in /var/www/html/islandhoodsites/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/domain_mapping.php on line 462

This shows two sites, subdomain.domain.com and subdomain.com, both with radio buttons, then a “Del” (Delete) link.

    Below that, it shows:

    * The primary domain cannot be deleted.
Warning! Primary domains are currently disabled.

Then a field to add a new domain with a checkbox to make it the primary… I’m totally confused and I don’t want any of this on the sub-site admin!

Your settings say you want it on

    + User domain mapping page

OK thank you Ron, it was not clear that that’s what that was for in the plugin documentation. “User” can mean “super user”, “admin”, “editor”, etc. I only want it available to super admin on network settings.

Can anyone else address the other issues? I’m still not sure what “Remote login” means.

I answered that in your other thread. It means you are logged into both the unmapped domain and mapped domain when you log into either of them.
