Domain Mapping problem

  • Ive followed this tutorial here but the domain im trying to map is loading the Apache 2 Test Page rather than the site within the wordpress network.

    Does anyone know why this would be happening?

  • Yes.

    You haven’t told the webserver where to send requests for that domain. (serveralias)

    Andrea, thanks for your reply.

    Just to clarify what ive done:
    Added the server A-record to the plugin
    Updated the a-record to match the server for the url i want to map
    Then added the new domain into the plugin and associated it with the id of the site.

    Are you saying i need to create the serveralias on the main domain?

    Yes, that’s exaclty what I’m saying. you haven’t told the server itself where (on the server) to send requests for the domain. It’s just hitting the default account.
