Domain Mapping?

  • I have a website that I originally started on wordpress.com and then moved it over to www.remarpro.com

    I just realized I have a $13 charge for domain mapping and I’m confused on what it is exactly. I tried googling it and I’m still unsure. Should I still be paying for this? or is it something I can get rid of?

    You can map any domain You own to any hosting by configuring domain DNS record (“A” Record).
    Value of A record must direct to target IP/Host of server which hosts Your website.

    It depends on service provider but yes, can be done for free on self managed DNS and self managed/shared hosting.

    Since my webiste is hosted on Bluehost, do i need to be paying for this?
