Domain Mapping: 2nd time of asking!

  • I have a domain name that I host with a third party.

    I have wordpress software 3.2.1 installed with said host.

    I have a custom theme I want to use based with that host

    How can I map the current domainname.wordpress.com to the domain name minus the wordpress.com? Every time I try it tells me that I need to change DNS settings so that the site will be then hosted with WordPress? I DO NOT WANT THAT.

    I want to have this on a third party server so that I can use a custom theme…..

    Any feedback would be appreciated.
