• Long story short, I lost my domain and had to get another. I was not thinking about my blog at the time since it was dormant, but I lost everything. Luckily I backed up everything so when it was time to upload my site to the new domain it worked almost seamlessly EXCEPT my blog section. My setup is a regular html site with a wordpress blog within the site. Now I find that MY LOGIN is either changed or non existent, there is no mysql database showing for it, and the email address it was pointing to is now non existent since I changed domains. Needless to say, I am in a pickle. I would like to be able to log in to my wordpress installation and start using it… but how? I have tried several of the methods on this site but find my situation a little different. Can anyone help me? I am not adverse to coding or ftp’ing. I just need some HELP. ?? Thank you.

  • Do you have a backup of the WordPress database? You’ll need to restore the database and possibly connect WordPress to it by editing wp-config.php. Then you’ll need to make changes inside the database, including changing the domain and your e-mail address.
