Domain change

    Can somebody pleae tell me where I am going wrong?
    I created a website on a host with domain abc.com. I want to transfer it over to def.com.

    I have created an a record for def.com to point to the ip address of abc.com. The domain is registered elsewhere.

    I then changed the wordpress site url under general settings to from abc.com to def.com.

    When I visit def.com it says
    The requested URL / was not found on this server.

    Am I missing anything?
