Domain alias taking me to wp-signup.php

An alias as in you want domainAlias.com to show up in the browser bar?

Yes. Precisely. But entering that domain in the address bar takes me to the link I mentioned above which is weird.

No. Well … yes but no because you cannot domain map the primary domain of your Multisite. You can do it for subsites, just not the main one.

Ok what if I just want domainAlias.com to point to domain.com but domain.com is what shows in the browser bar? Is that possible? Because at the moment I’m getting that link I mentioned above.

You can have DomainAlias.com redirect to domain.com, if that’s what you mean, and that’s entirely on your webhost’s end.

Yes. I already have it set up on my webhost end. But when I enter domainAlias.com into my browsers address bar, I get taken to this page:

https://domain.com/wp-signup.php?new=domainAlias.com

Instead of just to domain.com

It’s a domain pointer set as an alias.

That’s why. It needs to be a redirect.
