Dokan Vendor store category menu problem (need hierarchy)
-
We need to display the product category hierarchy in Vendor store page (similar to how Woocommerce Product Categories widget functions) because single categories do not make sense and are disorganised without hierarchy structure.
Problem:
In Vendor store page, Dokan only displays a category if the product has explicitly been added to it. Vendors will only select one category (usually the ‘last child’).This is a big problem because there is no structure and the customer cannot navigate effectively.
Example:
Alcohol > Wine > White
If selling a bottle of white wine, Vendor will select “White”. Dokan Store Category Menu widget will only say “White”. Also, a customer would expect to be able to browse “Wine” and see that bottle of white wine in the results…
What is the suggested solution to get and display the category hierarchy / tree when the Vendor selects only a child category?
If you do not have complete solution, can you provide some guidance for our developers on where they should start?
Thanks
