• Hi there,
I really love to use your pretty cool plugin!

But as already mentioned in an earlier request, it would really be helpful, if it would be possible to make the (internal) links DoFollow or NoFollow if I need it. That is also the sense behind using that link preview in an article – for SEO.
As I don’t use Gutenberg this setting would be really great in the global settings.

    Best regards from Germany
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

With the block editor you have the option to set nofollow per link. In the classic editor you don’t have the option and it will automatically use nofollow for any external links.

You want a global setting to make all of those dofollow instead?

Is there a specific reason for not moving over to the block editor? It’s definitely the future of WordPress.

    Hi Brecht,
Thank you for the quick answer!

I really get used to work with the classic editor. Maybe I change to Gutenberg in the near future, but right now there is no need for that.

What’s important to me is, that this internal links get the DoFollow attribute. It’s about SEO and the internal link structure. Right now the links doesn’t count at Google and that is really sad.

Best regards from Germany to Belgium! Been to Antwerp some years ago on a rivercruise and loved it. ??

Stay healthy in these strange times…

If you add an internal link (by searching for the post/page) it should be dofollow by default. Is that not the case for you?

    (@reiseblogger)

No, sorry! I’ve analyzed it in the Google Search Console and with my ahrefs Account. Internal Links with Visual Link Preview are not included in the listings. ??
(External links are NoFollow, but I know now how to change that.)
If you like I can send you a screenshot with the links marked by ahrefs via e-mail.

Can you give me a link to an internal VLP on your site?

Excuse me, but what is an “internal VLP”?

I meant an internal link VLP.

Sorry, but I still don’t know what the letters VLP stand for… ??
But thank you for your kind help!

Oh my bad, VLP is the plugin: Visual Link Preview. So basically just a link to where you’re using our plugin for an internal link. I’ll email as well.

    Oh – now I see! ??

I can see a link to https://fernwehblog.net/backlinks-landing-page-social-bookmarking/ there and that one is definitely dofollow. That’s what you want, right?

Unfortunately it doesn’t count at Google. I can send you an ahrefs screenshot with markups via e-mail. And will also search for a screenshot out of the Google Search Console. Thank you for your patience!
