The plugin functions correctly using the default profile editor in the dashboard section but I use the themed profile function of the Theme My Login plugin and when viewed with that the upload function does not work (the link is broken – just goes to “#”).

Would it be possible to fix this plugin compatibility conflict?

Also it would be nice if there was a way to have it use a simple upload form / dialogue rather than showing the full WordPress uploader. And finally would it be possible to add some way to remove profile pictures? Not necessarily actually delete the file just remove it so that it is no longer set as a profile picture for that user.

    Thanks!

I’ll try to check out the plugin incompat today, if not tomorrow.

I personally like the full media uploader as you can upload/choose any image and not be limited to just an upload screen. I’ll consider the feature though if others can weigh in.

I’ll see about adding a remove button either on the uploader dialogue or on the actual profile page. Maybe both ??

I’ve added the remove button both on the profile page and in the modal pop-up.

I’ve also fixed the Theme My Login compatibility issues, so it should work when you have the theme profile function enabled.

I’m going to leave the default modal appearance alone for now.

    Thanks!

That’s pretty much perfect, thank you very much! Works great now!

I also like using the media uploader as it goes but I want to enable subscriber accounts to be able to upload their own pictures. I can allow them to to this by editing the permission of the subscriber role but then they can view and select from anything in our image library including each others profile pictures which is an issue. If there was an option for a basic uploader that could store the images outside of the image library that would be great as it would avoid this issue. I can see why it might be a fair bit of work though and I guess not all people will have use for this.

Thanks again for the remove feature and compatibility fix though – those were the most important things for me. I’ll be sure to rate 5 stars!
