Tried to Authenticate Google Analytics account. It sees me but only lists sites/properties with the old UA numbers.
You cannot get a UA number any more. They are property IDs for “streams” in Analytics 4.

This plugin does not see those sites on your account and does not accept the number manually entered.

Nothing on the plugin description explains that it won’t work with the new system. I wasted a lot of time because of this.

    Hi @brandywinefarm ,

After the release of Google Analytics 4, the developer APIs provided by Google is still in alpha version and do not provide support for a lot of features i.e measurement protocol (required for eCommerce) and more.

Google themselves do not want developers using their API just now.

Our plan, as the same with most of the Google Analytics Technology Partners, is to launch support for GA4 once Google launches their final version API and provide support for all previous and new features.

There is no exact date when Google Analytics will release its full-fledged API. Our development team is currently working with the Google Analytics API beta version and soon we will release our updated Analytify version with the final version of Google Analytics 4 API.

Had the same problem, but you actually CAN get a UA number, you need to select that under advanced settings in you GA account. To be honest I did not find it now when checking, but it might be under the setup process.

The thing that fixed it for me (making it find-able from Analytif setup) was selecting “Creating a universal analytics property only” in this setting:

    Hope it can help ??
