    Hi @nejcox,

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with our plugin.

If you could provide more details as to where exactly you ran into issues, that would be great. We’ll try to help you out.

When you send a test email in our plugin, what is the error you get? Could you please copy-paste the error message here?

I looked at Mandrill settings… Did you use an actual “/” for the “SMTP Username” input? That’s what worked for me. And in the “SMTP Password” you have to paste in your API key.

Let me know how it goes.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    Take care!

    Hello @capuderg.
No, no “/” were used. Should it be like that: “/username”?

    SMTP host: smtp.mandrillapp.com
    Encryption: TLS
    SMTP port: 587
    Authentication: ON
Username: DXXXXXXXX XXXX (has a blank space and ending with a dot)
    SMTP password: copied correctly

ERROR: There was a problem while sending the test email.
    ErrorInfo: SMTP connect() failed.

*For one of your competitors it works without any problem.
**Also if I choose no security and Auto TLS it doesn’t work.

    Hi @nejcox,

your settings look good, except for the Username and password.

When I login to Mandrill and navigate to the SMTP settings I see this screen: https://a.supportally.com/FRUsw2

And bellow that I have the section of the API keys, where I generated one.

For the SMTP Username in our plugin I used: /
And for the SMTP Password I used the API key that I generated on that Mandrill Settings page in the screenshot above.

Please try adding just a “/” character in the Username field and add the API key in the Password field.

Let me know how it goes.

    Take care!

    Hi @nejcox,

hmm… Do you have the same setting screen/page in your Mandrill app/dashboard, like this https://a.supportally.com/FRUsw2?

Or do you have any other setting details/instructions from Mandrill?

What did you use for SMTP Username And Password in the other WP plugin?

    Take care!

@capuderg, all settings are the same as yours, with the exception of having a username. Same was used for yours and the other plugin (which’ve worked perfectly on the first try). I mean it’s not exactly rocket science, we are talking about 4 fields.

My username (changed a bit): Domxpolaxir Ltd.

I’m calling compatibility issues between your plugin and Mandrill (MailChimp) SMTP.
