• This plugin will not activate because it won’t accept my Canadian business Number. They say it’s PayPal’s problem, PayPal says it’s theirs. Since the old PayPal plugin accepted it just fine, I think it’s theirs.

    If you sign up for advanced card payments during the onboarding process, then PayPal requests additional information about the business. But this signup occurs within PayPal’s interface, and your business details are irrelevant to the plugin.

    If you encounter any issues with the signup for advanced card payments, please contact the PayPal merchant support as this occurs outside of the plugin.

    If PayPal does not accept any of your details for the advanced card payments signup, you can still connect your account with Standard Card Processing selected (or even manually): https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#connect-paypal-account

    Since the old PayPal plugin accepted it just fine

    Neither the old PayPal Checkout plugin nor PayPal Standard ever requested this kind of data.
