Doesn’t work with anything above php 7.3

  • @stevenlyrathemes will kale ever get updated to support php 8.1? I can’t update my server and other websites because the one running kale wont support it. I’ve deactivated all the plugins so the only thing left is the kale theme that’s causing the issue.

    I’m so sorry to hear about the inconvenience this has caused you.

    Updates on our free themes were pretty frequent until the pandemic hit, when we lost several team members, and unfortunately updates have been few and far between since that time. We don’t anticipate that pattern continuing- we’re actively working towards revamping development in the near future, and we do apologize for the inconvenience that our recent limitations have caused for you.

    I agree with the OP, my provider (Bluehost) was updating my site to the latest PHP and this theme didn’t work. I was able to contact them and they downgraded my PHP, however, this will happen again if they try to push an upgrade in the future.

    Is Kale available as a paid theme and if so, is the paid version maintained?
