doesnt work since last buddyboss update

just found out that the issue only happens if you select to use .svg files in the plugin settings.

Do you have any other plugins installed that might affect user avatars?

It′s an incompatibility with buddyboss for sure. Everything worked fine until I updated the buddyboss theme and platform which broke the way the profile pictures were displayed. I then even restored my latest website backup and tested if updating buddyboss to the recent version would cause this issue again, and it did. It′s still happening when I switch the letter avatars to .svg, so I currently use the .jpg plugin setting which works fine.
