• I’m confused and exhausted now. I only need to make one product have Free shipping, the other products need more than one delivery option. I created a Shipping Zone for Free Shipping and a Standard Shipping one. Then assigned free delivery to the one product, but when I test this out, the product comes up as Flat rate (Standard). So I removed Standard, but the free shipping product still comes up with a delivery price. This is what happens in Chrome, then in Safari, the opposite happens, everything is Free Shipping!

  • this was doing my head in as well. I tried about 8 different plugins, most don’t have instructions and I’m not a developer, just muddling through on my own. I noticed another comment with the steps they used and now it works for me.

What I did to make it work: Go to Zones, add the Free Shipping per Product method to the zones you want to offer it at (awesome!). Next go to Shipping Classes and create a class called free-shipping (well, at least the slug needs to be free-shipping). Then go to each product you want to offer free shipping on and change the class to the free shipping class you just created. Wham! Free shipping only for those products and it wont show up when the customer has other items in the cart that are not eligible for free shipping, yet it doesn’t consider the weight of the free shipping item.

hope it works for you too
