As a regular user, if it works, I use it. If it doesn’t – I’m angry and write negative reviews. I will not google for any “rules of leaving reviews”.
In my installation, it doesn’t work. Instead of trying to get additional information you’re blaming me that I do something wrong. I’m not obliged to do anything for you! If blaming is the best of customer support you can provide, I will never try your plugin again.
BTW, you’re right, I should add positive reviews for plugins that I use with pleasure.
