• Unless you use wordpress as it comes, this plugin does not work. I have my wp-content outside of the core wordpress folder, in fact renamed as well for security.

This plugin falls over in this setup – and will not work, instead throwing up errors.

Its a shame legacy sites used this plugin as its a nightmare dealing with it now.

@simonp303 – Thanks for the feedback but I believe this would be served much better as a Support topic … or even a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) if you prefer not do make your site address public.

No it shouldn’t this is a review.

And in fact a direct quote from one of your team:

“Simon – OK, the plugin definitely wants to be in wp-content – it may be possible to go through and do a find-all for wp-content within the plugin files and replace them with whatever directory you’re going to use – but by default the plugin wants templates and such to be in wp-content.

    Best,

    Drew”

Would suggest that what I put is in fact correct. So I hope people take note of this and pick a better coded plugin for their needs.

@simonp303 – Thanks for your reply … and we are addressing this support issue in an upcoming release due to similar reports of problems when the wp-content folder is moved/renamed (for whatever reason) outside of its standard default location.
