no change in link, installed the plugin and add .html extension but no changes in link

Did you also set the permalinks in WordPress to match what you set in the plugin?

Are you checking pages or posts?

Do you see the extension in the page listing when you hover over a view link for a particular page?

At the top of the plugin’s admin page there is a statement you need to follow:

“Currently your permalink structure, including any extension you’ve specified, is /%postname%/. Make sure the extension below matches the extension on the Permalinks page.”

Your permalink structure (your second image) has to match whatever you specify in the plugin (your first image).

You should take some time to consider the implications of changing the permalink structure if your site isn’t new.
