Hi, I wanted to know what to enter in “Notification Sender Email”. I tried almost everything and nothing works! I tried entering the “[email protected]” since this is the email I have when I received notification that I received an email. Then my husband tried to comment and I reply and he didn’t receive my reply. I also tried to enter the email I have with my web host and it didn’t word either. Can you help me please? I really want this to work because your plugin is exactly what I was looking for.

    Here is my URL: https://myrkastreet.com/

    Thank you in advance!

Hi, I finally succeeded in setting the right email, but when I made a test with my husband email, the new comment went into his spam box. Can you help me so the comment updates go into the inbox instead of the spam box?

    Thank you in advance!

I’m sorry about the confusion. I just updated the installation steps to explain the following.

Some web hosts require that the “Notification Sender Email” be an email at your actual website. For example, if your website is “myrkastreet.com”, then your sender email must be something like:

    [email protected]

in which the first part “something” can be anything as long as it ends with “@myrkastreet.com“. Bluehost is one host that requires this.

However, GoDaddy hosting does not require this. GoDaddy will allow you to use any email address as the sender email (for example, a Gmail or Yahoo email). If you are unsure whether your web host allows this, then stick with an email at your own site to ensure that your notification emails will be sent.

In addition to the requirement described above, some web hosts require that the email address be an actual existing address. For example, if you want to use “[email protected]” as your “Notification Sender Email”, but that email does not actually exist, then your notification emails will not send. In this case, you would have to create the email address “[email protected]” on your hosting server. Please note that “Forwarding Email Addresses” will not work for this since they are not actual email boxes, but rather they are just aliases.

Regarding the email going to SPAM, please try the plugin Easy WP SMTP, which makes sure that your server sends emails from an SMTP server. That will reduce the likelihood of your emails going to SPAM.

    I hope this helps.
