• Wanted a plug-in to send alerts to subscribers when I publish a new post. I thought oh joy, this one looks perfect. I got it installed and setup easily enough. I put in 6 contacts. I made 5 of them subscribed to “Main” list and 1 of them subscribed to both “Main” and “Test” lists. I made a simple Post Notification and set the recipients to Test list only so it should only go out to the one single subscriber. I then created a Test Post and published it. Note that the plug-in doesn’t actually send the alert automatically as would be intuitive, it simply queues it to be sent at some point, which I haven’t figured out; the only way I can figure out to get it to actually send it to manually force it. But, once I did force it, this alert sent to ALL SIX CONTACTS even though 5 of them are not supposed to be subscribed to the Test list. Very annoying! Blatantly doesn’t work! And if you want to contact them for support? They want you to install a plug-in that allows them temporary full access to your site without credentials. What a crap shoot!

    Hi @bpascanner,

We totally understand that some issues can be a real pain but there are a few things we would like to mention here,

    – We have checked this issue but it is not replicating on our end
    – So, when developers can’t reproduce a problem someone reports, it’s a common practice to request access to the WordPress admin to diagnose the problem. If someone does not agree to provide that access, developers can’t find/solve the problem.
    – We have also replied to you on your email so it would be great if you can agree to allow us to look into the issue.

    Thank You!

As of 6/16/2022 @ 19:48 (US Eastern), I have provided screenshots to the plugin’s team to attempt further troubleshooting. I do appreciate their team reaching out to me to see what is going on, but despite their inability to reproduce this glitch, I have reproduced it myself with settings similar to the first test.

I am still disappointed that their primary way to attempt to troubleshoot involves having full access to my website. I guaranteed my subscribers that I would not expose or sell or distribute their information to ANYONE, and granting some 3rd party full access to my website which stores my subscriber’s email addresses, IP addresses, and SMS/cell phone numbers is way too close to breaking that promise. I suppose screenshots and email will have to suffice unless I find a better alternative plugin in the meantime.
