Hi @b8engl,
Thank you so much for the review.
I wanted to help you, I even released an update for you in a few hours. It is a pity that despite such a quick response for the plugin, which is free, I could not make you happy.
Referring to your comments:
1. If you have the REST API blocked, you have a message about a connection problem.
2. All modules are checked. If you don’t have agd
library, it’s disabled – just likeImagick
. We have error handling if, for example, the file on the disk does not exist.
3. Yes, the plugin deletes all converted media files – it does not delete your files. This is a requirement of WordPress guidelines that the plugin “clean up after itself”.
4. If you have this type of problem then please go toSettings -> Permalinks -> WebP Converter
in the administration panel. And then click save changes.I will be grateful if you have some patience next time. Look please – 2,000 people use the plugin, nobody reported such problems.
Look at the fact that you have a different path to the files – you wanted to do something other than the default in the plugin. I have released an update that makes this possible.
I wanted to help you, but you have to help me. It is a pity that you would add a negative opinion in this situation than wait for the issue to be resolved.
Regards!
Would you like a false review! Or something to improve on?
The fact is it didn’t work with me!
Your code don’t detect modules correctly, I tested modules and they waren’t active on server! But I have overcome that issue!
I test today one more time and after I disable and delete the plugin all of my media was deleted. I have test the module on terminal they are active now! I’ve tested with other plugins and worked!I just think that if there are any problems you should first try to solve them.
Forgive me for not being able to check the plugin in a million different configurations. I do it in my free time, for free with passion.
You could try to help her grow instead of just criticizing, even if something doesn’t work.
Your problems were mainly that you used a different path to the media library than uploads. This was not supported – the plugin’s documentation clearly says that it supports
/wp-content/uploads/
. I wanted to add support to this, but I need your help and some patience.Yes, you should check the code to see if detects the modules or not on server side before releasing the plugin to the public! Other plugins like webpexpress detects that well!
I’m not the autor! So to improve that’s up to you!
If you didn’t like my review, pay attention next time too what people write and stop throwing ideas that the problem is on this side!
Have a gret day!
Please note that this is a community of plugins that are free and developed with passion. The idea is to work together on this.
I am the author and I am trying to develop the plugin, but feedback is essential. The more that the problem may not occur in 99% of environments, but will occur on one specific.
Absolutely not going to shift blame on you. I asked you to use two filters to change file paths. Unfortunately, you only used one of them and it was a mistake.
And then no longer you gave me help.
Good day to you too!
I didn’t know that you have a crystal ball… that’s awesome.
Again, stop assumption things!
For your information (again, I’m repeating myself), I tryed with both filters, remove custom endpoint, manually create your folder for plugin (didn’t create by itsell) and in the end the problem was the inactives modules.
I’m using other plugin, all working now!. Though, still not working with yours!
So, assume that in your mind! And stop blaming filters, or my lack of knowledge, ok.I do not have a crystal ball. You wrote that you used one filter, so I assumed you used only one.
I am glad that you were able to find a plugin that meets your needs.
Thank you for your cooperation and best regards!
What a lie! I wrote only one? Maybe you should take a look here #post-12248601
Just note that I said you made a mistake post before. At the time, I didn’t know you used two filters.
And in the next post I gave information about the wrong path. And I did not write that it was your fault. I asked for a URL so that I could help you.
Look, I don’t ask for support before I try everything I could test. I’m passed that point, now I’m using other plugin to do the conversion between jpg to webp on browser support! Blame apple! Best to you and all your development! I’m done arguing about this with you.
Thank you and good luck!
