I don’t think so. The setup is quite ideal. You can place additional content anywhere you want, so it will fit any purpose and any design.
The only thing wrong is that some people expect something to happen immediately when they activate a plugin. However, it only does something if you say it has to.
In my point of view the solution to that will be a short intro when you activate the plugin. However, it will be annoying for frequent users who know what they want. And I don’t see any reason to have documentation in two places. The plugin refers to the documentation on several occasions. Since using the plugin is relatively easy, the documentation is quite short.
I do like fancy UI’s, but I don’t see any occasion where it would be useful AND stays flexible. If you have any, please share.
