    This plugin seems incompatible with the current version of WordPress. I installed it and tried to upload an image to overwrite another one…and there was no change. WordPress preserved the initial upload just as it normally does.

    It’s always worked for me, but version 1.2 fixes a few bugs that other people ran into. If anyone runs into problems with the latest version, please open a support request and I’ll try to look look into it.

    Note that this plugin is only intended to overwrite files if they’re in the same directory. It won’t try to overwrite uploads/2014/01/foo.jpg if you later upload uploads/2017/04/foo.jpg. That’s intentional.
