• Total doesn’t display. Help text doesn’t display. Qty work around doesn’t display.

Pay for Gravity forms. That works.

If your experience were true we would certainly expect to hear more about this and we would want to correct that. To be certain, I built a quick form that accepts a value, quantity, and Total. I also included some help text. As I expected, all of these function and display appropriately. You can see my example here: https://ninjaforms.com/calculation-test/

These features do require javascript and it’s possible that you had an error on your page that was preventing them from functioning. Regardless, I’m certainly sorry you had a less than stellar experience and if you would like assistance I would like to direct you to https://ninjaforms.com/contact/ for access to our support team.

Appreciate the demo. Still doesn’t work. “Help ?” Shows up, nothing happens when hovered over.

Trying to have Checkboxes for multiple items. Calculations all good- display and add up correctly. Trying to add qtys? Total doesn’t change (stays zero). Went through several different threads and searches to no avail.

I’m sure it’s a user error but after literally hours of messing with this just had enough. Checking off an item and changing qty to show total due shouldn’t be this hard.

    Thanks for the response.

If nothing else, my example was just so that others can see that what you said doesn’t work, does in fact work. Everything on the form I linked to works.

You have a specific use case that you haven’t gotten to work and I can understand that can be frustrating. I’m not able to provide that kind of support here, but we have a support team happy to assist in those situations.

Thank you for your feedback and keep an eye out for Ninja Forms 3.0. It’s a vast improvement. https://three.ninjaforms.com

Java is all good, different browsers used, different computers. All with the same issue: total does not update so people have no idea what they’re cost for items is.
I’ll clarify my review and not make any inaccurate statements:

The function below is not being achieved.: A simple line listing of an item where a person can check the box, input the quantity, and then see their total. Total stays $0.00 no matter what I do.

Thank you for trying to offer some suggestions.

Sorry if I didn’t clarify properly. Javascript, not Java. This has nothing to do with your browsers or computers. This would be an error in the code on your site and the symptoms you are describing are absolutely javascript related. We see them often and help users work through those issues. Usually theme or another plugin related.

OK. Thanks James. This was to be a simple form builder but it’s clearly not that, at least in terms of what I would like it to do. I tried it on 4 of the 11 sites I handle and has the same issues on all of them. I don’t think that Javascript is bad on all of these:

    https://www.texasent.com
    https://www.theholidayacademy.com
    https://www.johnsonschristmascorner.com
https://www.theboomsoftball.com (this is the one I was trying to use it for)

Regardless, thanks for trying to help. This is becoming far more frustrating than it’s worth, probably for you as well.

BTW- I sent a request ticket for help as you suggested. I don’t think it’s necessary now. Don’t want your team wasting their time.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks for the links. They all confirm what I suspected. The site you are trying to use it for has a js error and some files that can’t be found: https://db.tt/lKAYGhjm

Your other three sites all have similar errors showing.

I understand that you’ve moved on, but I wanted to follow this through because I am very confident Ninja Forms works. We’re installed on over 300,000+ websites and if it wasn’t working we certainly would be hearing more about that and not have the large amount of 5 star reviews that we have. That’s not to say that your frustration is not valid, just that the cause might not actually be Ninja Forms specifically.

Either way, you’ve had a poor experience and that is regrettable. I’m sorry we weren’t able to resolve this through a normal support request before you reached your breaking point. Best of luck to you and we wish you great success.

I have a very low tolerance for poor products or services. While I have not been able to use Ninja Forms yet due to the issue I also strongly believe that GOOD service should be recognized. This is one of those times.

James (and another rep) have been trying to help with this issue. It would be easy to simply dismiss my problem but they haven’t done that. That shows commitment to the development of the product and also a strong sense of service. I am not a paid customer and yet James is trying to help with this. All too often people complain about product/service and never acknowledge the times people work to help and resolve a problem.

Thanks James for working on this. I appreciate it and want everyone to know that.

Hey, Ryan! We replied to you in our internal ticketing system in regards to a malformed manual calculation in your form, I just wanted to check in with you here and make sure that your issue was resolved?

This post does not indicate that the plugin deserves a one star. Support sounds excellent and I look forward to trying the plugin as I’ve tried several others over the years and all have been found wanting.
