  • I have to say I’m confused too, as aPCU isn’t supported in PHP8 (although I believe you can still build it if you’re prepared to go to the source and compile from there).

    I have installed APCu without any issues on PHP 8. It has compatibility up to 8.1, 8.2, and partial on PHP 8.3.

    PHP 7.4 has been end of life for a while and no longer receives security updates. I would highly recommend looking into upgrading to PHP 8.1. I haven’t run into any major issues with upgrading to 8.1 with WordPress. I suppose there might be some third party plugins that may not have been updated to be compatible with PHP 8… but it might be wise to replace them.
