Don’t bother reinstalling or updating, there is some sort of problem with translation in the plugin which I will try to work out and fix when I get a chance. I just have not got to it yet as there have been higher priority fixes that need my attention first and I have limited time on this plugin. Thanks for your patience and sorry for inconvenience. If you would like to help, the plugin is on Github so feel free to contribute.

    Thanks.

    Fingers crosses, goodluck!

Same problem here… ?? I donwloaded a few days ago.

I’m also having the same problem.. Using the last version 1.0.9

The .mo files should be named based on the domain (kbe) followed by a dash, and then the locale exactly. For example, the locale for German is ‘de_DE’, and the locale for Danish is ‘da_DK’.
So rename the locale files from wp-knowledgebase-da_DK.mo into kbe-da_DK.mo. That should solve it.

@vertizio Thank you very much. Your solution works! ??

Vertizio’s solution does work indeed, thank you for this!

I’m not using this plugin anymore, but i did test it to confirm the solution.

    Thanks @vertizio

For now, updating the name of translations will solve it.
Longer term, what I really need to do is update the text domain used by the plugin to wp-knowledgebase to match the plugin slug. This will work with the new wordpress.og translation system.

That fix works, but the search box isn’t fully translated… when I enter something I know doesn’t exist, the text “Search result not found……” still comes up rather than the Dutch translation. Is that hard coded somewhere?

In kbe_search.php the meta info isn’t translatable either. This has to be hardcoded in the template. Maybe those items can be added to the translation files?

    Hi Maeve, great plugin!
I installed today this plugin, but the translation itself and Vertizio solutions are not working for me.

I hope it could be fixed soon.
    Regards,
    Manuel
