  • This is most likely due to a Javascript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using – see Contact Form 7 Email Issues – there is a link there that covers Javascript Conflicts.

Use Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools to examine Javascript conflicts in detail.

Upon examining your webpage with these tools I found a java script error from a facebook App upon loading. This could potentially stop CF7 functioning. You may wish to disable this App and test the form.

Remember that a problem in one script can cause issues in another.
For example, some jQuery errors can stop jQuery processing any more script, which can make the culprit hard to find. A jQuery error in one of your plugins or your themes javascript files can stop jQuery processing before it gets to the CF7 script.

    See https://wiki.simple-press.com/installation/troubleshooting/plugin-conflicts/ for general guidance.

    Hi there,

I am having the same problem ever since yesterdays update. Before the update it was working fine and I was receiving messages from my Contact Form to my web domains email address. If I set the form to send messages to my Hotmail account, I get the messages perfectly fine there but when set to go to my web domains email address it does not get there anymore.

I have tried doing the suggestions above but haven’t found a solution. Although when using Chrome Dev Tools to examine Javascript conflicts in detail, I do not know what I am look at as I have no idea about web coding.

One thing I will say is I only use 4 active plugins and I have tried disabling them but again that makes no difference.

I feel it has something to do with the very recent update, as I said it was working perfectly before then.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

FYI I just switched the plugin to a free WuFoo form – https://www.wufoo.com/

It’s working out much better than Contact Form 7 – additional features & very easy to implement.

Tested in all browsers + mobile, tablet, etc & works flawlessly.

    My contact form: https://www.danoksnevadphotography.com/contact-us/

Nice. I have just fixed the issue with Contact Form 7 using the WP Mail SMTP plugin. It solved the issue perfectly. Great news all round!

@danoksnevadphotography – If this resolves your question, it helps others contributing here, if you can flag your post as [resolved]

Contact Form 7 has issues. Rather than looking into the PHP code or implementing 3rd party add-ons to mitigate, I switched to another contact form provider altogether. So sure… I guess this thread is resolved.

    Contact Form 7 has issues.

    What “issues”?

Contact form 7 has stopped working again even after the WP Mail SMTP plugin ?? I may have to switch to wufoo as suggested above. All I want is a simple contact form that I can actually receive messages from, is that too much to ask?

@dan: Did you get your new contact form from this page: https://www.wufoo.com/examples/

    ?

Actually can you please post a direct link to download this free plugin as I am a bit confused as to where to download it from.

    Thanks
