Tested by inserting gamipress code as instructed on a page. Video shows up fine. Then used same vimeo ID as a step in earning a badge. Watched video all the way through, then reloaded the page. No credit given. What’s the expected time frame for this to update in the system?

    Hi @peeld

Remember that this plugin just will work with videos placed using the [gamipress_vimeo] shortcode

Your users will need to fully watch the video in order to trigger the event for watching the video but GamiPress won’t trigger it if detects that user has skipping some parts

Do you have another vimeo-related plugin?
If yes, Have you tried to deactivate this one to see if our integration works correctly?

    Best regards

Hi there, just checking back in. I do not have another vimeo plugin installed. I’ve watched the video myself all the way through multiple times, and no credit. I do have shortcodes ultimate installed, which includes a vimeo shortcode, but it is not in use on this particular page. I am indeed using the [gamipress_vimeo] shortcode.

    Hi @peeld

If you correctly have placed the video using the [gamipress_vimeo] shortcode and GamiPress is not able to award your users then it looks like you could have another plugin or your theme causing a Javascript error (is the way this add-on triggers the event at frontend)

Have you tried to perform a theme and plugins conflict test?
    There is a guide:
    https://gamipress.com/docs/troubleshooting/theme-and-plugins-conflict-test/

I will look in to this, thanks.

Hi! Same issue in my case. I’ve switched off plugins and changed theme and nothing. Any other ideas? I don’t see any errors in the console or network tab.

    Hi @peeld and @elutkathefox

We just recently updated the plugin since we found that private links required a different way to load the Vimeo player

There is the explanation from our plugin FAQ section:
Important: For private links (URLs like https://vimeo.com/{video_id}/{public_token}) you need to provide the full URL on “url” attribute and set “from_url” to “yes”.
    Example:
    [gamipress_vimeo url=”{full_private_link}” from_url=”yes”]

Is posible that videos that aren’t working on your site are private?

    Best regards

I thought about it too so I changed one of the videos to public and it didn’t help.

Btw, my videos are private but without token – they are simply restricted to one domain.

    Hi @elutkathefox

On your shortcode, have you placed the attribute from_url to yes?
And have you tried to place the private link with the token instead to the video URL only?

    Best regards

Yep, I’ve just made exactly this test to make sure and didn’t work.

    Hi @elutkathefox

Probably your issue comes for the video restrictions you set

If a video is restricted won’t be accesible from an external website for that you may require the private link that is a way to let users see it through an URL

What is your video URL? (if you don’t want to share it since forums are public, write us directly to [email protected])

    Best regards

I am aware this could be the issue. This is why I’ve also checked that for a private video with token (as I mentioned in the previous message). I have also checked that for a public video and still doesn’t work.
    This one is public: https://vimeo.com/348117012

Ok, let’s say this one. It’s a public one: https://vimeo.com/348117012

    Hi @elutkathefox

I tested the video in the 2 ways and both have working correctly to me

    Full URL:
    [gamipress_vimeo url=”https://vimeo.com/348117012″%5D

    Only video ID:
    [gamipress_vimeo url=”348117012″]

Check if you have any extension on your browser (not on WordPress, on your browser) that could cause issues to display those video embedded like an AdBlocker

Also, you can try it on a temporal install here:
    https://poopy.life/
Click on create and you will get a 24h WordPress fresh install to test any plugin you want

    Hope it helps
