    Hello,

I’m testing TranslatePress since WPML was giving me too many problems. I setup a staging site and deleted WPML. Installed Translate Press. When I pulled up a page and hovered over text items to see if I could translate, most items worked, but the buttons didn’t. The site uses Impreza Themes which includes a bunch of elements. See https://impreza.us-themes.com/elements/button/ for example of buttons.

I recall WPML had a section you could add some type of code that would allow it to find text in different elements it originally didn’t see. Do you guys have the same option? Or can you add support for Impreza Themes and all their ultimate elements.

Also I understand that your product stores strings, with automatic translation, does it store in a database so doesn’t need to translate each time? What happens when we make changes to the text, does it then translate the entire paragraph again even if small changes or is it at the sentence level?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

When you click on “Translate Site” and go to a page, you can choose on the left side the language to translate, right? You can translate blocks of text by clicking on each “pencil” icon. Every text without a pencil next to it is probably a string, so you have to open the list “select string to translate…” right below the list of languages on the left. There you will find all strings in the page (from header to footer). The text in your button will be listed there. All you have to do is to select it and translate it.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching us!

What you can do is to search the button in the String List Dropdown menu from the Translation Editor if the pencil is not appearing.

Regarding your second question, you are right. The translation is stored in your local database so next time you won’t need to translate again your content.

    Let me know about this!

    Kind Regards,
