Doesn't recognize sub-directory if it is empty

I load the text-domain from a sub-folder /lang/ inside my plugin folder.
If i create the first language .po file with Codestyling Localization, it will be created in the main plugin folder instead of /lang/.
I can move the created .po/.mo files manually to the sub-folder and all following languages get created inside the sub-folder as expected…
