Doesn’t play nice with All In One SEO, need to remove

    I’ve discovered that this plugin doesn’t play nice with All In One SEO, so I’ve got two sets of OG info being output in each blog post.

    It seems like this plugin automatically takes the excerpt and makes it the og:description. I’ve tried deactivating the plugin and uninstalling it, but the OG info generated from this plugin still remains on my page. How do I remove it?

    I’ve tried installing it again and checked Turn Schema OFF for the entry and still no luck, the code still appears in the page.

    Would really, really appreciate help on this.

  • Hi, I have the same question. I’m considering moving to Yoast from All in One SEO Pack because Yoast seems to be more “in tune” with schema.org and more up to date. I also noticed that Yoast will import All in One SEO Pack data. What did you find out in your research? I was about to ask Hesham if this plugin is compatible with All in One SEO.

    My site is already up and running with All In One SEO configured, so at this point I’m not looking to make a switch to Yoast. For me, the features in AIO SEO will suffice, I just need to clean up the clutter that Schema left behind.

    TG83, I’m so curious I have to ask. What type of clutter did Schema leave behind? I activated it then reviewed the source code that it generates — agree with you — then deactivated it and again reviewed the page source code. I don’t see any clutter left behind. Did it create problems with the DB? I noticed a setting that might help you: If it is installed then activated, if you go to the Plugin on the left then MISC then there is a checkbox: Delete Data on Uninstall? Check this box if you would like Schema to completely remove all of its data when uninstalling via Plugins > Delete. Maybe this would delete the data you are struggling with? I’ve decided after over a week of research to migrate to Yoast SEO Premium for many reasons. I’m going to manually inject the schema for some of our more important pages.

    What plugin did you decide to use for Schema JSON-LD markup?

    Apologies for the mixup. Turns out that it was the theme itself that was generating these OG: tags. I found a setting in the theme to turn it off and it’s now fixed. It was not Schema that was causing this.

    Which makes sense, because Schema doesn’t even generate OG info, it only generates Schema code. My bad.
