@superdifficult There is an open GitHub issue which concerns differing “Site Address” and “WordPress Address” URLs from within a WordPress dashboards general settings. This seems like a similar issue to what you are encountering. If possible can you share your URL and the language plugin you are using? Alternatively you can share your Site Health information?

@superdifficult we’ve made some improvements to the setup process in the latest version 1.1.2. Could you reinstall this new version and let us know this resolves the issue you encountered? Thanks again!

    The site is Purex.ca

    The language plugin is WPML

I’ve reinstalled version 1.1.3 and am still seeing the issue

    Thanks!

@superdifficult Can you temporarily deactivate the WPML plugin before then testing Site Kite setup? It’s a commercial plugin which I haven’t tested myself, but but please test with the plugin temporarily deactivated. At present you need to have the “Site Address (URL)” and also the WordPress Address (URL) the same during setup. There is an open GitHub issue also which you can follow.

@superdifficult Did you get an opportunity to test Site Kit setup with your language plugin temporarily deactivated? If you have any questions of need assistance let me know.

@superdifficult just a quick follow up that we greatly appreciate your early report and will be investigating this issue further. You can follow it on repository, and we’ll keep this thread updated.

@superdifficult we released version 1.7.0 which has a fix that may address your issue. Could you update to latest version and let us know if the issue persists?

Hi @superdifficult – thanks for the bug report. I am trying to troubleshoot this issue. Can you please help clarify a couple of items from your report:

    > The plugin registers the base site URL as https://site.com/lang/ instead of https://site.com/.

Where is this registered? Do you mean you see this during the initial setup of the plugin?

    > Then all paths are listed as /lang/page.html so the full URLs appear as: https://site.com/lang/lang/page.html which is incorrect.

When you say “all paths are listed as …” do you mean in the Site Kit dashboard under “Most popular content”? or on the WordPress dashboard?

I am trying to reproduce this issue and the more details I can gather the better!

Also: can you confirm is your wp-admin installed in the root folder or in the lang folder?

@superdifficult in version 1.8.0 we released a fix that should resolve this issue. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to open a new support topic.
