I noticed that on my website (https://espinar.kampagne-bergbau-peru.de) only the pages accesible from the menu are counted. The setup for the posts (YouTube-Embeds with a little text) is to have them opened in an iframe lightbox. It seems that Koko Analytics doesn’t count any of the views/visits of these posts.
Is this a feature or ab bug? And what can I do to have them counted?

Koko counts posts by their internal WordPress ID. So anything that doesn’t have an internal wordpress ID (eg isn’t a post or a page in your wordpress) is currently not counted by Koko.

We might add “event tracking” in the future that will allow you to track other things as well.

The clicks that are not counted are not events, they are regular posts that open in popup-windows. So this cannot be the reason. Did you check it on my website? It is the links that open for example on the start page if you click on the posts that are displayed with a post grid module on the right hand side. If you hover over posts you see that they have are regular wordpress address (category/post-title).

Ah I see, I thought you meant you’re loading external iframes.

I’ve checked our sourcecode and Koko does indeed not track iframes, by design.
I will discuss with Danny if we should make this a setting, or possibly start tracking iframes by default…

Git issue can be tracked here: https://github.com/ibericode/koko-analytics/issues/161

    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
