When I fill out the form and hit submit, the symbol spins and spins and never gives the message saying that the message was sent. I do see that the email does get sent, but the person filling the form out doesn’t get that confirmed. Please advise.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @angietops7,

When you get a chance, could you please share a full error log recorded when you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Email Test? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log. This will give us an idea of what might be going on.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sanjeev,

It looks like I’m required to pay for the pro version to get this. Is that correct?

    Hi @angietops7,

That is not correct. The SMTP error logs is available with free version as well. Please search for sting ‘Click here to view the full Error Log for debugging’ after you send the test email and share the full error log. If you don’t see error, please share the screenshot of whatever you see after sending the test email.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Sanjeev,

There is no error log given. It’s saying success. I made an image of the response, but I don’t see a way to upload the image so I made a page and placed the image on it. Here it is:

    Hi @angietops7,

Thanks for the screenshot. SMTP is all set on your site. The issue is with the form on your site. There are some JavaScript errors upon form submission which you should fix. I’d suggest temporarily deactivating the plugin ‘wonder plugin gallery’ and ‘Autoptimize’ and retry.

If that does not fix the issue, please follow this detailed troubleshooting guide.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks Sanjeev,

Thanks for the help. It was enough info to fix the issue.

It turned out to be the autoptimize and I had to uncheck “Aggregate JS-Files”. I don’t understand enough to know what that means, but it was apparently conflicting with this mail plugin. Would you know what that was doing? Will my site be less optimized now?

    Hi @angietops7,

I’m glad you sorted this out. Aggregate JS files cause the JS to load differently modifying the order of loading assets required for the form to work properly. This isn’t conflicting with this WP Mail SMTP plugin but your form plugin.

    I hope this clarifies.
