Hi, I’m having trouble getting this plugin to work when I use mathjax with equations containing “<” or “>”. In the link, I have (exactly!) this code

    [expand title=”Proof”] $ \epsilon_1 ttt \epsilon_2$.[/expand]

    [expand title=”Proof”] $ \epsilon_1 < \epsilon_2$.[/expand]

    [expand title=”Proof”] $ \epsilon_1 ttt \epsilon_2$.[/expand]

The first works ok, the second doesn’t expand, the third which is a copy of the first is also not working. I’ve tested it with Firefox and Chrome.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

view your shortcode with the editor in Text mode not Visual mode.
Be sure you always past copied shortcodes in text mode.

Thanks for the tip. I wish it was that but the snipped above is just a copy past from text mode.

Don’t know if this is relevant, but I have the same problem if I insert < or > into a text string, like

    [expand title=”Proof”] a < b [/expand]

and the problem persists across the default themes (twenty -fifteen -sixteen and -seventeen) which came with my wordpress install.

This is likely an issue with my setup, as it affects all shortcodes I tried.
I found a temporary workaround by replacing < with &lt. Now everything works well!
